The Purchasing Behavior and Beginnings
Share
Changing your purchasing habits is the first step toward becoming a champion for the change you want to see in the world.
Think of the money you spend at a business as a vote supporting their values. For a long time, and even now, buying from Amazon has felt uncomfortable for me. It seems like their company culture prioritizes profit above all else, but each purchase I make contributes to their mission.
These days, I’m more intentional with my purchases, and when I do shop on Amazon, it’s purely for convenience—a habit I know could change with better planning. Still, every time I click “submit,” I’m reinforcing the company’s mission.
If I wanted to make a positive impact on the planet, I knew I had to start using one of my most powerful tools—my money. That’s when my wife and I decided to live by this principle and began purchasing products from companies that align with our values, companies that act as a force for good on the planet and for the people they serve. We've found several products we believe in and have integrated them into our daily lives.
Now, we want to share these products with others who are also seeking to make a positive impact. This is how the idea for Respectful Goods was born.
Through our shop, we aim to share the products we use and endorse—goods that are making a positive difference for the planet and for you.
We’re excited to embark on this journey with you, and we look forward to the conversations and suggestions that will help us grow our catalog of impactful products.
